Powerex
has a long history of trade with Alberta. Natural synergies
exist between the thermal-based Alberta system and the
hydro-based BC Hydro system that have made for a mutually
beneficial business relationship between Powerex and our
Alberta trade partners.
This relationship has continued with the deregulation
of the Alberta electricity marketplace, and since 1996
we've been active participants in the Power
Pool of Alberta. We also offer customers bilateral
physical and financial instruments, as well as forward
exchange arrangements.
